Megumi Fushiguro
The shadow is not a hiding place but a store: only he knows what will come out of it.
Megumi's technique is not an attack but an INVITATION. The shadow at his feet is a door lying under the surface; make the sign and something comes through. There are ten doors, each with its own name and temper, and each can be tamed only once. This page lines those ten doors up along a single ground line: the shadow you choose stands up from it, and the broken one never stands again.
The ground line is one and the same across the page: every shadow leaves it and returns to it.

What the shadow does beyond shikigami — and the weight of the inheritance.
- Storing in shadowThe shadow does not only produce shikigami; things go into it too. A blade, a cursed finger, a wounded body — all can be slipped below the surface and taken back on demand.
- Chain of a thousand milesThe one output that is not a shikigami: a chain that comes out of the shadow and binds. It needs no taming, but it ends no fight on its own — its job is to hold.
- The Zen'in inheritanceThe technique belongs to one of the three great families, and Megumi holds it by blood. The family tried to buy him as an infant; the sale did not happen. What he owns is an inheritance his name does not carry.
- The unfinished domainClosing the dome guarantees the hit but burns energy. Megumi leaves it open on purpose: he buys duration instead of certainty. He treats the limit of his own power not as a lack but as arithmetic.

The Zen'in family moved to buy the infant who carried the Ten Shadows. His father haggled, but the sale never closed; the boy grew up away from the family, without the Zen'in name. What he owned was a technique his name did not carry.
